English As a Second Language Study

Ashley came to American in 10th grade, and both English and math were his weaknesses. Through other parent's referral, Ashley started his English as a second language study at ivyGoal in 2016. She started at 4th-grade level English. Within six months, Ashley successfully caught up with local American born students and emerged as a top student at Notre Dame High School in Belmont. 

SAT Prep and College Application

Unlike most Chinese students, Ashley had to improve his score on both SAT English and math. She joined ivyGoal's SAT prep classes and quickly improved her English and math skills, and eventually was accepted by multiple dream colleges.

Hello IvyGoal teachers,
I have successfully obtained 8 university offers. I now decide to go to Purdue University.
I came to the United States in the tenth grade. I was fortunate to meet Nick and all the teachers. With your help, my English level was raised from the fourth grade to the eighth grade in the United States in six months. Nick’s SAT class is lively and interesting. I learned a lot of new knowledge from each class, especially for the rapid improvement of math scores! I never imagined that I could get 790 points in sat math with average math scores.

Thanks to Teacher Nick for helping and supporting me in a time when I felt frustrated and anxious and gave me the courage and confidence to face all difficulties. And thanks to Nick for tutoring me when I wrote the college application! All this is very important to me!
